Staff will still be available to respond to emails, phone calls, and phone messages during this time. A drop-box is located at the front entrance of the Municipal Building. We will make arrangements to help with any problems related to municipal government.

Census 2020
CENSUS 2020 UPDATE
Each decade, the federal government counts the number of people in each state to help determine how many seats the state gets in the U.S. Congress and how to distribute more than $674billion in funding to states, counties, municipalities, school districts and social service programs & organizations.

Being counted in the Census helps to improve our communities, roads, bridges, hospitals, schools, fire & police departments, parks playgrounds and more.

Beginning in March, Census letters will be mailed.  For the first time, people can respond to the Census online.  There will also be a toll-free phone number, so residents can share their information verbally.  The traditional method of filling out the paper questionnaire will also be an option.

People can be confident that the Census Bureau will not share their information to federal, state, or local authorities of any kind, including law enforcement.

Person on Phone

2-1-1 SERVICE NOW AVAILABLE IN ERIE COUNTY FOR SOCIAL SERVICES
2-1-1 service is now available across Erie county!  United Way's 2-1-1 is the social service equivalent of 9-1-1.  By dialing three simple numbers (2-1-1) on your home or cell phone, you can talk with a professional resource navigator who will provide information about a wide range of health, human & social services.  Call 2-1-1 Monday through Friday 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. or visit http://www.pa211nw.org/ to conduct your own search.  You can also text your need & zip code to 898-211 to receive information by text.  It's free, easy and the quickest way to find help.

ERIE COUNTY HOUSING RESOURCE DIRECTORY LAUNCHED
A new resource is available for Erie County homeowners and tenants.  The Erie County Housing Resource Directory is a searchable database that includes local, state and federal programs that provide funding options for residential property owners & renters looking for homebuyer assistance, rehabilitation and critical repair funding, and home energy upgrades.  Over 30 programs are included on the site, and new resources are added as they are identified.  Erie County, the City of Erie, the Erie Redevelopment Authority, and Partnership Erie partnered with "Emerge 2040" to launch this valuable resource.

Reverse 911
While landline phone numbers are already registered with the 911 system, cellphone numbers are not - and that means a growing portion of our county residents, those who only use a cellphone, might not be contacted in case of an emergency.  With the rising popularity of cellphones, it is now even more important to register your information with Erie County's Emergency Notification Call-Out System, more commonly known as "Reverse 911."  Please refer to our Emergency Management Webpage for links to register & update your information.

KNOW 9-1-1 KNOWS...
You may register a Household Profile with the local 9-1-1 Center so they can provide faster & better response, in the event of an emergency at your home. Please refer to our "Emergency Management" webpage for further details.

TAX CODE REMINDER
Your Tax Collection Code (TCC), as a Wayne Township Resident, is #250106.  Your Earned Income Taxes (EIT) will be collected by Berkheimer & Associates.  All Wayne Township Residents reside in Tax District #250106.
